Assistant Operations Manager

About the role

The Assistant Operations Manager will support the Operations Manager in overseeing the daily running of a coffee‑shop outlet, ensuring smooth service, tenant occupancy and financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain smooth daily operations of the coffee shop.
• Source potential qualified tenants to fill vacant food stalls.
• Take immediate collection or legal actions to recover debt (e.g., stall rental) and minimise credit losses.
• Handle daily sales settlement.
• Conduct stock‑take and order supplies to keep inventory at healthy levels.
• Source suppliers with competitive pricing and stay updated on market prices for materials and ingredients.
• Ensure safety and hygiene guidelines are consistently followed.
• Supervise, lead and motivate the team.
• Schedule work rosters fairly and manage off‑days for operational staff.
• Interview, assess and assist in hiring employees based on outlet manpower needs.
• Receive, review and act upon customer feedback and complaints.
• Maintain consistent quality of service.
• Perform ad‑hoc duties as required.

Required profile

• Diploma from any field of study.
• Minimum 2 years experience in coffee‑shop or food‑court management.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including shifts, weekends, public holidays and ad‑hoc duties.
• Prepared to work in a non‑air‑conditioned environment.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Team‑player attitude.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

What we offer

• Contract position with monthly salary SGD 3,400 – 5,000.
