Assistant Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Assistant Project Manager to support our utilities and civil projects in Singapore. You will assist in leading project teams, coordinating resources, monitoring schedules and budgets, and maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the project team, motivating members to meet project goals and targets.
• Manage all aspects of the project, including planning, client relationships, resource allocation, budget review, risk analysis, and problem solving.
• Prepare detailed project plans for all phases and continuously monitor progress against schedule.
• Review cost estimates and budgets, guiding the team to achieve financial objectives.
• Monitor procurement needs and ensure adequate resources are available.
• Prepare monthly performance and budget reports for management review.
• Report project milestones, deliverables, risks, and mitigation plans to leadership.
• Monitor staff performance and drive high‑quality outputs.
• Identify potential commercial impacts such as delays or additional works and alert senior management.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular meetings with internal stakeholders and subcontractors to track progress.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Head of Department or senior management.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering recognised by the Singapore Professional Engineers Board (PEB).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction industry.
• Experience with HDD, 66kV, 230kV or 400kV projects is an advantage.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Highly self‑motivated, independent and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
