Senior/Lead Mechanical Engineer – Buildings (Singapore)

About the role

Aurecon is seeking a Senior/Lead Mechanical Engineer to join its Singapore Buildings business. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver complex building and infrastructure projects, driving design excellence from concept through construction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design projects from initial concept, through detailed design, construction, and final review.
• Collaborate with local and regional design disciplines to ensure overall design integrity.
• Manage project components, budgets, schedules, quality assurance, and client feedback, communicating any changes effectively.
• Assist in workload management, resource forecasting, and preparation of proposal documentation.
• Review and ensure compliance of drawings, reports, specifications, surveys, and appraisals.
• Build and maintain client relationships, identifying and developing business opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5‑8 years of experience in building mechanical design and M&E system commissioning for commercial/industrial projects.
• Data centre experience preferred.
• Strong project management and team‑leadership abilities.
• Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of engineering codes, standards and practices.
• Organised, detail‑oriented and able to take increased responsibility.
• High computer literacy; BIM/Revit exposure highly desired.
