Assistant Project Manager - Physical Security

About the role

JCI is hiring an Assistant Project Manager for physical security projects. The role acts as on-site project leader, planning, executing and completing assigned projects while coordinating with the customer and subcontractors. It is an onsite position.

Key responsibilities

• Define scope, budget and schedule, and plan and oversee the work schedule for several small to medium projects in coordination with the supervisor
• Coordinate communication with the customer throughout the project and track progress, tasks and project health
• Identify project risks, recommend resolutions and identify and secure variation orders
• Monitor compliance with codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications, and perform regular quality audits of suppliers and subcontractors
• Cost control and cost tracking against the CIS, and manage reports and documents
• Work with the sales team on tender bidding and supervise subcontractors' work at site
• Schedule purchases and deliveries of materials, assign and supervise assistant project engineers and technicians, and follow up on customer payments and supplier payments
• Train the customer, provide the first-year maintenance warranty schedule, and hand over the project to the customer and then to the service team
• Handle system applications, drafting, database generation and commissioning

Required profile

• Degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in ELV projects
• Deep understanding of CCTV and IP surveillance, access control, fire alarm systems, structured cabling and intercom/video door phones
• Ability to interact with clients, consultants and subcontractors
• Willingness to work odd hours when needed to meet deadlines

Required skills

• Excel, Word and MS Project are essential
• Knowledge of CCTV, IP surveillance, access control, fire alarms, structured cabling and intercoms
