Assistant Vice President, Global HR Solutions Consultant APAC

About the role

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is recruiting an Assistant Vice President, Global HR Solutions Consultant APAC, for its Global HR Solutions unit, which acts as an internal consulting function within Global HR. The role executes internal consulting engagements that provide project and cyclical process support to HR colleagues and the business, with flexibility to meet clients and colleagues across the Americas, APAC and EMEA time zones.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as an internal consultant, leading and delivering engagements with clients in GHR and the business, including strategic projects (transformation initiatives, new services or products, process improvement, regulatory programmes) and cyclical process support (year-end processes, talent review).
• Plan, design, develop and execute engagement activities and deliverables, including leading workstreams, managing plans, activity execution and stakeholder interactions.
• Lead qualitative and quantitative data analysis, produce findings and recommendations, and facilitate interviews, focus groups and working sessions with clients and stakeholders.
• Support knowledge and capability transfer to clients and use HR knowledge of practice areas, policies, compliance, laws and regulations to deliver engagements.
• Participate in HR Solutions communities of practice such as change management and communications, process excellence, organisational design and design thinking, and champion HR Solutions with HR colleagues and the business.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• History of delivering results in a high-pressure, fast-paced, matrixed environment.
• Experience across one or more HR practice areas (Talent, Learning, Culture, Performance, Reward, HRBP, HR Analytics, HR Shared Services, etc.).
• Top management consulting or equivalent consultancy experience is beneficial but not required.
• Ability to work across cultures and in a global environment, and to work independently and with stakeholders across time zones.

Required skills

• Understanding of the HR function and ability to analyse data and give data-based recommendations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
• Experience with productivity and analytics tools such as Copilot and Power BI is beneficial but not required.
