Assistant Vice President – IT Audit

About the role

The Assistant Vice President – IT Audit reports to the Section Head, IT Audit and leads the execution of IT audit programmes for the Great Eastern Group of Companies. The role supports the Singapore Chief Internal Auditor and provides independent assurance to strengthen the group’s IT governance, risk and compliance environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning, scoping and execution of IT audit assignments, ensuring high‑quality deliverables and timely audit reports.
• Contribute to the annual IT audit plan, incorporating emerging risks, regulatory expectations and business priorities.
• Partner with business audit teams on integrated and thematic reviews, providing technology expertise.
• Conduct ad‑hoc reviews, investigations and special projects as required by management.
• Maintain strong relationships with technology and risk stakeholders, promoting risk awareness and sound control practices.
• Coordinate remediation of audit findings, issue tracking reports and validate closure of corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to internal audit methodology, operating procedures and professional standards.
• Stay current on emerging technologies, cybersecurity threats and regulatory updates to enhance audit effectiveness.

Required profile

• 8–10 years of relevant IT audit experience, including infrastructure, application and cybersecurity audits.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, CRISC, CISSP or CCSP.
• Prior experience in the insurance or banking sector.
