Assistant/Associate Professor – Assessment Literacy & Tech‑Enabled Assessment

About the role

The National Institute of Education (NIE) at Nanyang Technological University seeks a tenure‑track Assistant or Associate Professor to lead research and teaching in Assessment Literacy and Technology‑Enabled Assessment. The position supports the department’s strategic priority to advance classroom assessment, AI‑supported assessment, and the design of high‑quality assessment practices.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver undergraduate and graduate courses in assessment literacy, educational technology, and AI‑enabled assessment.
• Conduct rigorous research that bridges classroom assessment theory with technology‑mediated contexts.
• Secure external research funding and publish in top‑tier education journals.
• Contribute to programme development and curriculum design for the Learning Sciences & Assessment Department.
• Mentor students, junior faculty, and educational leaders.

Required profile

• PhD in Education, Learning Sciences, Educational Technology, or a closely related field.
• Strong record of scholarly work in assessment theory, practice, or technology‑enabled assessment.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI or emerging technologies into assessment research.
• Commitment to high‑impact teaching and service in a multicultural academic environment.
