Associate Director / Director (Medical Planning)

About the role

Join SAA’s multidisciplinary team in Singapore as an Associate Director/Director of Medical Planning. You will shape the design and delivery of a wide range of healthcare facilities, from preventative clinics to acute hospitals, ensuring they meet clinical, operational and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the medical planning process across diverse healthcare typologies, developing strategic master plans based on clinical workflows and patient journeys.
• Design functional layouts at departmental and room levels, incorporating evidence‑based design and current healthcare trends.
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, administrators and other clinical staff to align design outcomes with user needs.
• Oversee project delivery from concept through construction documentation, managing user group meetings, data collection sessions and workflow workshops.
• Collaborate with internal architecture and engineering teams to integrate planning solutions that meet programmatic, technical and budgetary goals.
• Maintain project documentation, QA/QC checklists and ensure compliance with regulatory codes.
• Serve as the primary client contact for medical planning discussions and facilitate consensus among stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven leadership in medical planning and healthcare design projects.
• Strong ability to translate clinical requirements into architectural solutions.
• Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary clinical teams.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and evidence‑based design principles.
