Associate, Investor Accounting & Finance (Asia Pacific)

About the role

LaSalle, the investment division of JLL, is looking for an Associate to provide investor accounting and finance support for the growth of its regional private equity business. The role delivers critical, timely and accurate information to the business and investors so that they can make informed decisions. It is a third-party vendor contract, based onsite at the LaSalle Singapore office.

Key responsibilities

• Accounting and reporting: maintain or oversee accounting records for investment holding entities monthly or quarterly, in line with the Yardi Rulebook; prepare and oversee payments, wire transfers and FX settlements, and manage daily cash flows
• Support the annual external audit of client vehicles, assist with tax and BAS filings, and help the legal and compliance team with corporate secretarial compliance and entity maintenance
• Ensure compliance with internal controls
• Client reporting: answer investors' questions, prepare investor NAV statements and report to investors monthly or quarterly
• Deal support: support portfolio managers and asset managers on dispositions, restructuring and financing, and assist with capital structuring and tax planning
• Analyse financial results of property holding subsidiaries, converting local GAAP to IFRS, and liaise with JV partners, asset managers, investors and outsourced providers on finance, reporting and tax matters
• Treasury: maintain cash flow processes, manage cash balances, and assist with loan administration and monitoring of loan covenants
• Support the One LaSalle global operating platform initiative and other administrative tasks as assigned

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in accountancy or equivalent
• Minimum 5 to 6 years of relevant experience
• Audit experience and real estate experience preferred but not required
• Consolidation experience and Yardi system experience preferred
• Proficiency in written and spoken business Chinese
• Integrity, self-starter, organized and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to work with people across the Asia Pacific, including JV partners, asset managers, bankers, auditors and consultants
