Associate Manufacturing I

About the role

Amgen is hiring an Associate Manufacturing I for its Singapore manufacturing site in Tuas. The role involves hands-on execution of plant operations, supporting Manufacturing Associates and contributing to cleanroom and production activities under cGMP.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in hands-on plant operations and help Manufacturing Associates troubleshoot issues
• Monitor and analyse processing parameters for atypical trends and improvement opportunities
• Prepare solutions and equipment
• Stage raw materials and single-use parts, with additional logistical support
• Stage components for autoclaving and washing
• Perform filter integrity testing of sterilizing filters
• Carry out environmental monitoring of the classified manufacturing cleanroom
• Support in-process testing of production samples (prior experience with analytical instruments is a plus)
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and safety audits, and follow EHS and regulatory requirements
• Interact with internal and external inspectors and apply GMP knowledge

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree with 2 years of directly related experience, or Associate's degree with 4 years, or high school diploma / GED with 6 years
• Minimum 0-2 years of relevant experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals or petrochemicals; fresh graduates will be considered
• Knowledge of plant and unit operations (autoclave, parts washers, process equipment)
• Commitment to cGMP and EHS compliance in clean-room plant operation (prior cGMP experience is a plus)
• Ability to work any shift, including 24/7, and to lift items averaging less than 12 kg

Required skills

• Experience with Emerson DeltaV, LIMS and TrackWise
• Basic computer skills, including MS Office navigation and LMS training
• Basic chemistry, biology and physics understanding, and analytical method knowledge
