Associate Overseas Accounting (SIN - OAD)

About the role

Singapore Airlines is hiring an Associate Overseas Accounting professional for its Overseas Accounting department within the Finance Division. The role covers accounts receivable and general ledger activities for SIN Sales Passenger functions.

Key responsibilities

• Handle accounts receivable for SIN Sales Passenger functions: reconcile sales, billings and settlement across payment methods, follow up on credit card chargebacks with business units and respond to acquirers, and investigate and resolve irregularities or enquiries.
• Manage general ledger activities for SIN Sales, including recording and reviewing journal entries, accruals from business units, and monitoring and clearing suspense accounts.
• Run monthly and quarterly checklists for suspense accounts, accounts receivable, cash and bank.
• Carry out monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities and review variances between actuals and budget.
• Work with the IT team on system enhancement testing where applicable.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Senior Manager Overseas Accounting.

Required profile

• Diploma in Accountancy or similar.
• Meticulous, self-driven and able to work independently as well as in a team.
• Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel and Word.
• IT savvy.
• Knowledge of SAP is an added advantage.
