Associate, Product Strategy & Development

About the role

Brookfield Asset Management's Global Client Group is hiring an Associate for its Product Strategy & Development team in Singapore. You will contribute directly to investment product innovation and strategic growth initiatives, from researching the industry and competitors to building new product vehicles, features and capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor key market trends and competitor activity in the alternatives industry to inform product development strategy
• Evaluate new business and product ideas and support data-driven recommendations
• Contribute to product launches and enhancements of existing products, working with investment, fundraising, marketing, legal, tax and fund operations teams
• Create strategic partnership proposals with investors
• Perform financial analyses and modeling to inform business decisions
• Support senior leadership on ad hoc research projects
• Leverage AI-enabled tools for market intelligence, competitor research, data synthesis, workflow automation and presentations
• Prepare product-related decisions and exceptions ahead of governance discussions

Required profile

• 2 to 5 years of financial services experience, focused on alternative asset management (infrastructure, real estate, private equity, private credit)
• Experience across APAC markets and institutional investors (Australia, Japan, Korea, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Southeast Asia)
• Understanding of industry trends, regional markets and regulations, and country-specific investor considerations
• Exposure to product development and implementation processes
• Undergraduate degree with strong academic background; CFA, CAIA, MBA or CPA is a bonus
• Excellent English, and Chinese or Japanese is viewed favorably
