Associate Professor – Epidemiology

About the role

The National University of Singapore’s Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health is seeking a full‑time Associate Professor in Epidemiology. This tenure‑track position offers a fixed‑term contract of up to seven years, with the aim of achieving a tenured appointment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and lead collaborative research proposals with NUS faculty to secure extramural funding.
• Utilise and contribute to large‑scale cohort studies such as the Singapore Chinese Health Study and the Multi‑Ethnic Cohort Study.
• Conduct translational epidemiological research that informs public‑health interventions.
• Design, deliver, and continuously improve undergraduate and graduate courses in epidemiology and related public‑health subjects.
• Supervise graduate students and mentor junior researchers.

Required profile

• Earned doctoral degree in epidemiology or a closely related discipline.
• Strong track record of publications in international peer‑reviewed journals.
• Demonstrated ability to contribute to teaching in epidemiology and public health.
