Associate/Analyst, Syndicated Loan Agency (IBGO)

About the role

DBS is hiring an Associate/Analyst for its Syndicated Loan Agency within Group Operations (IBGO), reporting to the Group COO. Group Operations manages the majority of the bank's operational processes across its banking delivery channels, focusing on productivity, quality and control, technology, people capability and innovation. The role covers syndication loan administration and support to the team lead.

Key responsibilities

• Support syndication loan agency and security agency services for clients where the Bank acts as Facility Agent, Security Agent or Account Bank.
• Review and comment on draft finance documents.
• Process day-to-day syndication loan administration, including drawdown, rollover, rate fixing, billing, prepayment, fee calculation, payments and document safekeeping.
• Liaise with Legal Counsel, Finance Parties and Borrowers on deal closing, conditions precedent and subsequent matters, ensuring covenants such as insurance are in place throughout the loan's life.
• Handle amendments and waivers requested by the Borrower, and ensure MAS returns are filed within the required timeframe.
• Support the team lead in delivering KPIs and coordinate or lead enhancement projects, such as system improvements.
• Partner with Change The Bank and Technology teams on digitalisation projects, manage system issues affecting accounts and submit user requirements for improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in syndicated loan agency administration or corporate loan administration.
• Project financing knowledge is an advantage.
• Good understanding of market practice in syndication loan administration, especially in syndication agency roles.
• Familiarity with the credit evaluation process, loan accounting and policy.
• Good communication skills with internal and external parties.

Required skills

• In-depth knowledge of finance documents and ability to interpret legal documents.
• Default loan management skills and knowledge.
