Audit Senior Associate

About the role

The Audit team at Grant Thornton supports businesses in assessing their financial position and regulatory obligations, using a single audit approach and methodology across all its firms. This Audit Senior Associate position is based in Singapore and involves leading audit engagements for a portfolio of diversified clients, including multinational corporations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead audit engagements, covering engagement planning, process review, preparation and review of audit workpapers, finalisation reports and financial statements.
• Take part in cross-border engagements and group audits with group/component audit teams and/or Grant Thornton network teams.
• Identify possible audit concerns or unusual relationships through basic financial statement analysis and report them to the assurance team.
• Train and coach audit team members through timely performance reviews and feedback.

Required profile

• At least 3 to 5 years of progressive audit experience.
• Degree or diploma in Accounting or equivalent; CPA, CA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent is highly desirable.
• Experience in a Big 4 or mid-tier accounting firm is advantageous.

Required skills

• Strong technical accounting skills; proficiency in SFRS and SSA, and IFRS and ISA is preferred.
• Good communication skills, ability to prepare reports and excellent analytical skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to work under tight deadlines.
