AVP, Front Office Onboarding Specialist - Private Banking

About the role

DBS is hiring an Associate Vice President, Front Office Onboarding Specialist within its Private Banking, Consumer Banking Group. The role covers end-to-end client onboarding, KYC and compliance support, and works closely with the Front Office and KYC teams. It is based in DBS Asia Central, on a regular schedule, full time.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate end-to-end client onboarding, from prospect onboarding advisory to account opening
• Assess client profiles, guide the Front Office to obtain the required corroboration and information, and partner with Relationship Managers on KYC write-ups
• Hold joint discussions with the Front Office and KYC team to support case decisions, perform risk assessments and help with documentation reworks
• Assist in periodic reviews of client accounts to maintain ongoing compliance and keep up to date with KYC/AML regulations
• Share best KYC practices across market regions and teams, liaise with Front Office and compliance teams to resolve gaps, and advise internal teams on regulatory requirements
• Analyse data to track onboarding progress, risk trends and KYC issues, and identify inefficiencies in the onboarding process to propose improvements

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Law or a related field
• At least 7-10 years of experience in KYC, AML and/or client onboarding in private banking or financial services
• Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as FATCA, CRS and MAS guidelines
• Certifications such as CAMS or an International Association Diploma in Anti Money Laundering are an advantage
• Detail-oriented, with strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills

Required skills

• Familiarity with KYC software, databases and banking systems
• Proficiency in Excel and Tableau preferred
