AVP Investment Counsellor (Onshore/Offshore), Consumer Banking

About the role

DBS Treasures is a wealth management platform in Singapore serving onshore and offshore affluent clients, offering a range of wealth management solutions from investments to legacy planning. As an AVP Investment Counsellor within the Consumer Banking Group, you will act as the resident expert on wealth products and solutions tailored to client risk appetite and needs, and help sell them through the in-country Treasures platform.

Key responsibilities

• Be the resident expert on wealth products and solutions offered in the in-country Treasures platform, covering portfolio advisory, asset allocation, unit trusts, FX, fixed income, equities, alternatives and derivatives.
• Prepare investment proposals that match clients' target strategic asset allocation and reflect their investment objectives and risk profile.
• Create and manage bespoke wealth solutions and portfolios for assigned accredited investors.
• Take part in joint calls with Treasures Relationship Managers to give clients a holistic view of the investment landscape, including asset allocation, product solutions and market outlook.
• Work with Relationship Managers and the Team Head/Desk Head to meet or exceed sales and revenue targets for wealth products.
• Adhere to the in-country regulatory framework and rules of engagement for selling wealth portfolios and solutions.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal audit and security requirements.

Required profile

• Degree holder with at least 5 years of experience in the financial services industry.
• Sound knowledge of banking and investment products and services and their procedures.
• Good knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements and exposure to multicultural issues.
• Strong presentation skills; self-motivated team player with excellent service aptitude, suited to a fast-paced, service-focused environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of financial market trends, including managed funds, equities, currencies, commodities, fixed income and FX.
• Understanding of the in-country regulatory framework for wealth sales and marketing.
