Back-end Developer – Java & AWS Microservices

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Back‑end Developer to design, build and maintain Java‑based microservices that power our user interfaces and external APIs. The role is based in Singapore and offers the chance to work with modern cloud technologies in an AWS environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new Java microservices using Spring, Spring Batch and Hibernate to support UI back‑ends and third‑party integrations.
• Design, implement and schedule batch programs that process large data volumes.
• Troubleshoot performance issues and tune applications to meet service level agreements.
• Write comprehensive unit tests with JUnit, Mockito and PowerMock to ensure code quality.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts to resolve defects and deliver enhancements.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in Java development and experience with Spring ecosystem.
• Hands‑on experience deploying and configuring services on AWS, including ECS task definitions and AWS SDK integration.
• Familiarity with unit‑testing frameworks and best practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross‑functional team.
