Backend Developer (Enterprise Applications)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer to design, develop, and support scalable enterprise backend applications and integrations. The role works closely with business stakeholders, analysts, infrastructure and engineering teams to deliver reliable, secure, high‑performance solutions throughout the full software development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain backend applications and enterprise system integrations.
• Participate in the full SDLC, including requirements analysis, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Build scalable, secure, high‑performance applications using Python or Java.
• Develop and optimise SQL queries, database schemas, and overall application performance.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and micro‑services‑based solutions.
• Support integrations between in‑house systems and third‑party/SaaS platforms.
• Collaborate with business users, analysts, and technical teams to translate requirements into effective solutions.
• Contribute to system architecture, technical design discussions, and backend strategy.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, deployment activities, and release management.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement sustainable fixes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field.
• Approximately 6–8 years of experience in backend software development.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced enterprise environment.
