Backend Developer (Golang)

About the role

Fuku is hiring a full-time Backend Developer in Singapore who will build and maintain backend systems and APIs using Golang to support scalable, high-performance applications. The role works closely with frontend developers, product managers and designers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend systems and APIs using Golang.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless user experiences.
• Write clean, efficient and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.
• Optimize application performance and ensure reliability, scalability and security.
• Take part in code reviews, give constructive feedback and mentor junior developers.
• Troubleshoot bugs and performance bottlenecks.
• Contribute to database schema and data storage design.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Fluency in written and spoken Chinese.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Golang and its ecosystem.
• Experience building scalable backend systems and RESTful APIs.
• Databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
• Microservices architecture, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Distributed systems, caching and message queues (e.g. RabbitMQ, Kafka).
• Cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP or Azure are a plus.
