Backend Engineer Intern (Fall 2026)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Backend Engineer Intern to join our team for the Fall 2026 term. You will work on building and optimizing backend services that power our products, collaborating closely with product managers and engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and optimize backend services and systems.
• Participate in system architecture discussions to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into technical implementations.
• Develop reusable components and platform services that support product innovation.
• Optimize performance, stability, scalability, and resource efficiency of backend systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve functionality, reliability, and performance issues.
• Contribute to distributed systems, data processing pipelines, and high‑concurrency services.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, operating systems, networks, and databases.
• Familiarity with Linux operating environments.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of projects, and communicate effectively within a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in at least one backend language such as Java, Go, Python, or C++.
• Experience with relational databases, specifically MySQL.
• Understanding of system design principles and scalable backend architectures.
