BI Analyst Intern

About the role

Hytech, a management consulting firm focused on digital transformation for fintech and financial services companies, is looking for a BI Analyst Intern in Singapore. The intern supports the data and business intelligence team in data extraction, analysis, visualization and report iteration, turning business data into actionable insights for daily monitoring, operational analysis and better decision-making. It suits students wanting hands-on experience in data analysis, BI dashboard development and business-driven data projects.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in daily data monitoring by extracting, cleaning and validating business data so it is accurate, complete and consistent.
• Support BI dashboard maintenance and iteration: update real-time dashboards, fix data anomalies and improve display logic based on business feedback.
• Conduct ad-hoc data analysis for business, operations and marketing teams, including indicator calculation and data verification, and deliver standardized results.
• Help define business indicator systems, standardize statistical calibers of core indicators and build up data analysis specifications.
• Work with cross-functional teams to understand business scenarios, track project effects and support data-driven optimization and strategy adjustments.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, Finance, Business Analytics or a related major.
• Basic data sensitivity and logical thinking, able to grasp business logic and indicator rules quickly.
• Meticulous and responsible, able to handle fast-paced work and meet report deadlines.
• Good communication and cross-team collaboration skills, with clear expression of analysis ideas and conclusions.
• Relevant data analysis, BI or business internship experience is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SQL for data querying and extraction.
• Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus.
• Basic Python data analysis (Pandas/Numpy) is a bonus.
