BMS Project Manager

About the role

Johnson Controls is hiring an on-site BMS Project Manager to lead, plan and deliver building automation projects. The role acts as the project leader, coordinating with the customer, subcontractors and the sales team, and works closely with the Assistant Project Engineer and technicians.

Key responsibilities

• Define scope, budget and schedule, and plan the implementation methodology for small to medium projects
• Coordinate communication with the customer and track progress, tasks and project health
• Identify project risks and recommend resolutions; identify and secure variation orders
• Monitor compliance with codes, practices, QA/QC policies and specifications, and run regular quality audits of suppliers and subcontractors
• Cost control and track delivery of financial commitments as per CIS
• Manage reports and documents, and work with the sales team on tender bidding
• Supervise subcontractors' work at site, schedule material purchases and deliveries, and supervise assistant engineers and technicians
• Handle system commissioning, database generation and drafting, follow up on customer payments and verify supplier payments
• Train the customer, provide the first-year maintenance warranty schedule and hand over the project to the service team

Required profile

• Degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in BMS systems
• 2 years of supervisory experience
• Ability to interact with clients, consultants and subcontractors
• Willingness to work odd hours when needed to meet deadlines

Required skills

• Excel, Word and Microsoft Project are essential
• BMS systems knowledge
