Building Specialist – Oversee Building Works & Compliance

About the role

The Building Specialist will manage building‑related projects across multiple sites, ensuring all works meet statutory requirements set by the Building and Construction Authority (BCA), Ministry of Education (MOE) and other relevant bodies. You will support the planning, execution and documentation of upgrades, retrofits and refurbishments while acting as a key liaison between internal teams, consultants and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee building‑related works across sites and ensure compliance with BCA, MOE and other statutory regulations.
• Support planning and execution of upgrading, retrofitting and refurbishment projects.
• Coordinate activities between internal teams, external consultants, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Review technical documents such as drawings, specifications and submission packages.
• Assist in cost estimation using approved schedules (e.g., FSR/FSOR) where applicable.
• Maintain accurate documentation, traceability and records for building works and statutory submissions.
• Prepare reports, audit responses and project closure documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience overseeing building‑related works across multiple sites.
• Familiarity with statutory compliance requirements (BCA, MOE, etc.).
• Ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams, consultants and contractors.
• Strong attention to detail in reviewing technical documents and maintaining records.

Required skills

• Cost estimation using approved schedules (FSR/FSOR).
• Technical document review (drawings, specifications, submissions).
• Knowledge of statutory compliance procedures for building projects.
