Business Analyst (Contract)

About the role

BCS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Network For Electronic Transfers (NETS) and part of the NETS Group, manages and operates clearing and payment infrastructure for the Singapore Automated Clearing House, including FAST, IBG, CTS, and services for PayNow and SGQR. The Business Analyst acts as the liaison between business and technical teams, turning complex business needs into technological solutions, defining functional and scheme requirements, supporting test strategies and writing operations documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead requirements workshops with stakeholders and turn business needs into functional specifications, including user flows with the Product Manager
• Support technical documentation such as message and transaction flow specifications, and identify and assess requirement gaps and risks
• Act as liaison during implementation, support UAT by developing test strategies and validating test cases, and help integrate solutions
• Develop and maintain operations documentation such as Business Impact Analyses, Participant User Manuals and Operating Manuals, and recommend process improvements
• Provide project progress inputs to project managers and present validated requirements and mock-ups to stakeholders
• Take part in internal and external Project Steering Committees and escalate scope creep

Required profile

• Preferably a degree in Business, Technology or a related field
• Minimum 5-8 years of experience as a business analyst, preferably in financial services or payments
• Good understanding of payment products and technologies; knowledge of cross-border payments is a plus
• Certifications such as CBAP or PMI-PBA are an advantage
