Business Analyst - Core Banking

About the role

A leading innovator in banking software solutions, represented by its client Cygnify, is hiring experienced Business Analysts in Singapore to drive core banking projects within its Business Unit. The successful candidate has a strong track record of leading large-scale projects from the business side, bridging functional requirements with strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary business representative and subject matter expert for core banking projects and strategic initiatives.
• Drive end-to-end project delivery from the Business Unit, ensuring operational readiness and minimal disruption to daily banking activities.
• Gather, define and document business requirements, turning functional needs into clear, actionable project scopes.
• Bridge the gap between the business unit and technical delivery teams so IT and tech squads understand and execute business goals.
• Manage expectations and communicate progress, risks and milestones to senior business leaders and internal stakeholders.
• Lead business-side testing (UAT) and validate that delivered solutions meet the original commercial and operational requirements.
• Analyse existing core banking workflows to find bottlenecks and inefficiencies, and support change management, product rollouts and business process re-engineering.

Required profile

• Background in a Business Unit such as retail banking, corporate banking or wealth, in a Business Analyst or similar project-focused role.
• Deep domain knowledge of core banking operations, products and business processes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects from the business side, including requirement gathering, process mapping and UAT.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, able to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
• Strong analytical mindset focused on commercial value and operational efficiency.
