Business Analyst (Government Projects)

About the role

Activate Interactive, a technology consultancy in Singapore, is looking for a Business Analyst for a 12-month fixed-term contract role on government agency projects. The position acts as a bridge between external stakeholders and internal teams, turning business needs into technology solutions. It is open to conversion to permanent employment with good performance.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and analyse requirements through interviews, surveys and workshops, and turn them into functional specifications and user stories.
• Work with design and technical teams to design and validate solutions, and take part in testing and quality assurance.
• Support implementation of new systems and processes, including user training and change management.
• Help with project planning, tracking and reporting, and monitor project progress and risks.
• Analyse data to spot trends and opportunities, and deliver reports and presentations for decision-making.
• Maintain documentation of business processes, systems and workflows, and recommend process improvements.

Required profile

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or a related field.
• 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Project Manager, Systems Analyst or in a similar role.
• Experience delivering medium to large-scale project solutions and acting as a liaison between stakeholders and internal teams.
• Background in software development or programming (e.g. Python, Java.NET, JavaScript) is highly desirable.

Required skills

• Good understanding of IT systems, databases and software development processes.
• Advanced Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables and data visualisation.
• Business analysis tools such as UML, BPMN and wireframing.
• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum or Waterfall is desirable.
• CBAP or PMI-BA certification is a plus.
