Business Analyst / Project Manager, Wealth Management IT

About the role

CITIC CLSA is looking for a versatile technology delivery professional for its Wealth Management team, covering securities, brokerage and investment products. Depending on experience and capability, the role may be appointed as a Project Manager or Senior Business Analyst. You will bridge business stakeholders and the IT department, ensuring successful design, implementation and adoption of technology solutions, with direct involvement in coding and technical solutioning.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, analyse and document requirements for securities, brokerage and wealth management processes, and identify process improvements.
• Conduct gap analysis between current and target state processes and prepare functional specifications, user stories and use cases.
• Collaborate with developers, solution architects and testers, and contribute to application development in Java, including coding, unit testing and troubleshooting.
• Support UAT, prepare test cases, track defects and write user guides and training materials.
• For PMs: lead projects from initiation to rollout, manage scope, timelines, budgets and resources, report status and escalate risks, manage vendors, engage executives and oversee a portfolio of initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field; master's degree or relevant certification is a plus.
• At least 5 years of technology delivery experience in securities, banking, brokerage or wealth management; more experienced candidates are considered for the PM role.
• Good command of written and spoken English; ability to communicate in Mandarin is preferred for stakeholders in Greater China.

Required skills

• Java development and familiarity with one or more Java frameworks.
• Understanding of securities trading, brokerage operations, funds, bonds, structured products and financial regulations.
• Requirements gathering, process mapping and data analysis.
