Business Controller – Marketing & OPEX

About the role

LVMH F&C Singapore (LFCS) handles seven perfume and cosmetics brands of the LVMH group and groups logistics, production, quality, commercial and back-office activities for Singapore and the Asia region. It is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Junior Controller to join its finance team, focusing on the financial control and analysis of marketing expenses and overall operational expenditures (OPEX). The role supports budgeting, ensures financial accuracy and provides analysis to inform business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, analyse and report marketing expenses against budget and forecasts, investigate variances and root causes, and review and approve marketing invoices for proper coding and policy compliance.
• Collaborate with Marketing on campaigns and projects, prepare monthly accruals and reconciliations, and help track KPIs on marketing spend efficiency.
• Support OPEX budgeting and forecasting with department heads, analyse actual OPEX against budget and prior periods, record expenses accurately in the general ledger and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly and annual reports, management reports, month-end and year-end closing, and support internal and external audits.
• Contribute to process improvement, internal controls, ad-hoc analyses and special projects, and keep up to date with accounting principles.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in finance, accounting or controlling, with some exposure to expense management.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles (IFRS).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills, with high attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication with financial and non-financial stakeholders.
• Proactive, able to work independently and in a team.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modelling)
• Experience with financial software or ERP systems such as SAP is a plus
