Business Development Executive

About the role

The Business Development Executive is responsible for driving new business growth by selling directly to prospective clients and collaborating with brokers. You will lead the client service team on prospect activities, ensuring coordination, timely execution, and resolution of any disagreements.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve allocated new‑business objectives through direct sales and broker partnerships.
• Lead and coordinate the client service team’s prospecting efforts.
• Set deadlines, monitor progress, and confirm results for all prospect activities.
• Resolve conflicts or disagreements that arise during the sales process.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree; CPCU, ACII or an advanced degree in business, marketing or engineering is desirable.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the insurance industry.
• Strong knowledge of property forms, HPR engineering, competitors and brokers.
• Demonstrated sales ability with solid presentation and negotiation skills.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
• Ability to use the internet and internal intranet for research.
