Business Development Manager – APAC (Maritime & Shipping)

About the role

Wenaas, a leading Norwegian supplier of professional workwear and PPE, is expanding its presence in the Asia‑Pacific region. We are looking for a driven Business Development Manager to lead new customer acquisition and build strategic partnerships within the maritime, offshore, and industrial sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, qualify and pursue new business opportunities across APAC.
• Develop and execute targeted growth strategies for key accounts.
• Build relationships with decision‑makers in shipping, offshore, marine and industrial organisations.
• Monitor industry trends and market opportunities to drive growth.
• Design value‑based PPE and workwear solutions that support customer standardisation and operational efficiency.
• Position Wenaas as a strategic partner for compliance, workforce protection and procurement optimisation.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure seamless customer implementation and commercial execution.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of B2B business development experience.
• Proven track record of winning large commercial contracts.
• Extensive experience in the maritime, shipping or offshore industry.
• Strong understanding of vessel operations, procurement structures and maritime supply chains.
• Established network within APAC shipping/maritime markets.
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Business, Maritime Studies, Sales, Logistics or related field (relevant experience may substitute).
• Fluent English; additional Asian languages are a plus.

Required skills

• CRM discipline and pipeline management expertise.
