Business Development Manager – APAC Partnerships

About the role

Onerway is a fast‑scaling cross‑border payment service provider seeking a driven Business Development Manager to lead its APAC expansion. You will join the commercial team and be responsible for building and managing strategic partner relationships across multiple markets.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, prospect, and convert high‑value merchants across target markets and industry verticals.
• Own the full sales cycle from lead generation to onboarding and go‑live.
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline through market research, outbound prospecting, networking and partner referrals.
• Understand client business models, payment needs and operational pain points to position Onerway’s solutions effectively.
• Collaborate with Product, Compliance, Legal, Operations, Finance and Partnerships teams to design tailored solutions.
• Prepare commercial proposals, pricing structures, business cases and sales materials.
• Maintain accurate pipeline updates, forecasts and client activity records.
• Represent Onerway at industry events, conferences and networking forums to generate leads and strengthen brand visibility.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in fintech, payments, financial services, technology or a fast‑paced startup environment.
• Background in Business Development, Sales, Account Management, Partnerships or Client Success, handling mid‑size to large clients.
• Existing network of digital merchants (e‑commerce, gaming, entertainment) or financial institutions is a plus.
• Strong commercial sense with the ability to understand client business models, revenue opportunities and deal economics.
• Passion for payments and fintech with a willingness to deepen knowledge of payment products, integration flows, settlement structures, FX, payouts and compliance requirements.
