Business Development Manager – Contract Logistics (Medical & Pharma)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to lead growth in contract logistics for the medical and pharmaceutical sectors. This senior role will focus on identifying new opportunities, building strategic client relationships, and delivering tailored logistics solutions that meet strict regulatory and temperature‑control requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in medical and pharmaceutical logistics, warehousing, and supply‑chain services.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key decision‑makers in pharma companies, medical equipment manufacturers, and healthcare organisations.
• Create and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
• Conduct market research to understand trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning.
• Collaborate with internal operations, legal, finance and marketing teams to design, propose and implement customised logistics solutions.
• Lead negotiations on commercial terms, pricing and service agreements.
• Oversee contract execution, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards such as Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and high customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of business development or sales experience in contract logistics or supply‑chain services.
• Prior experience in the medical or pharmaceutical industry with strong knowledge of regulatory and handling requirements.
• Proven track record of meeting sales targets and driving revenue growth.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and presentation abilities.
• Ability to design customised logistics solutions, especially for temperature‑sensitive products.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM software.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office applications.
