Business Development Manager

About the role

Gotion Singapore is seeking a Business Development Manager to expand its Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) business in India. The role combines market development, customer relationship management, and cross‑border collaboration with technical teams in China and Japan.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a business development strategy for energy storage solutions in the Indian market.
• Identify new customers, projects and partnership opportunities, and build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
• Gather customer requirements and coordinate with the China/Japan technical team to create tailored BESS proposals.
• Lead commercial discussions, prepare proposals and negotiate contracts, including joint‑venture opportunities.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging energy‑storage opportunities in India.
• Provide regular updates on sales pipeline, market development and key opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Energy, Business or a related field.
• Proven experience in business development, sales or key‑account management within energy storage, batteries, renewable energy or power sectors.
• Strong knowledge of the Indian energy/power market and experience working with Indian customers or projects.
• Excellent commercial, communication and negotiation skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently to India and China.
