Business Development Manager

About the role

Reporting to the Senior Business Development Manager, the Business Development Manager is responsible for delivering new‑to‑business sales volume and revenue targets while ensuring that solution implementation objectives are achieved.

Key responsibilities

• Work with the management team to formulate, plan and execute new sales strategies.
• Achieve assigned individual annual sales targets.
• Negotiate competitive yet sustainable pricing for the business.
• Own the end‑to‑end sales process from opportunity identification to conversion, ensuring compliance with internal policies.
• Monitor market trends, recommend new products or solutions to meet merchants’ evolving needs.
• Collaborate across teams to enhance merchant service and satisfaction.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of business development and merchant solution sales experience in payments and fintech.
• Entrepreneurial self‑starter with a proven track record of winning new accounts.
• Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Salesforce.
• Extensive network within the payment ecosystem.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Analytical, initiative‑driven and strong problem‑solving skills.
• Tertiary education preferred.
