Business Development Manager – SEA

About the role

ICIS, part of RELX, is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth of its petrochemical and energy portfolio across South‑East Asia. You will work from our Singapore office, engaging senior stakeholders in target industries and helping customers make strategic, sustainable decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead business development activities and design acquisition strategies to win new clients in sectors such as automotive, FMCG, electronics and energy.
• Expand market presence by acquiring new customers in the assigned territories and nurturing long‑term relationships.
• Partner with prospects to identify challenges, articulate the value of ICIS solutions, and deliver tailored demos and proposals.
• Navigate prospect organisations to connect with relevant stakeholders and maximise sales opportunities.
• Maintain accurate customer and pipeline data in Salesforce.com and other CRM tools.

Required profile

• Highly self‑motivated, energetic individual who quickly builds strong relationships.
• Excellent phone presence and confidence in conducting senior‑level business discussions.
• Results‑driven, detail‑oriented, organized self‑starter with strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Commercially minded with a strong desire to succeed in a high‑performing sales team.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing market needs and customer requirements.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Salesforce.com or similar CRM platforms for data management.
