Business Development Manager Trainee (6‑month attachment)

About the role

This 6‑month attachment offers a hands‑on Business Development Manager experience within a small construction firm. You will work directly with the Director, supporting project sourcing, client interaction, and coordination with subcontractors and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Director in identifying and following up on new construction and upgrading projects.
• Communicate with potential clients to gather project inquiries and basic requirements.
• Prepare simple quotations, proposals, and cost breakdowns.
• Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers for pricing, availability, and scope of work.
• Track project status from award stage through to completion.
• Support the preparation of basic project and client reports.
• Coordinate meetings, site visits, and follow‑up discussions as needed.

Required profile

• Basic understanding of construction business and general contracting works.
• Ability to interpret client enquiries, project scope, and simple drawings.
• Good communication skills for interacting with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Problem‑solving attitude under Director guidance.
• Mid‑career individuals (40+ years) are encouraged to apply.
