Business Development Specialist

About the role

The Business Development Specialist will work closely with SITA Account Managers and SFA Business Development Managers to identify and prioritize target airlines across APAC and AMER. You will generate new opportunities through outbound prospecting, industry events and the SITA network, acting as the subject‑matter expert for OCC AM solutions throughout the sales cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and prioritize airline targets in collaboration with account teams.
• Generate pipeline through outbound outreach, events and leveraging the SITA network.
• Serve as OCC AM expert, supporting account managers and BDMs during sales engagements.
• Educate internal teams on OCC AM value proposition, use cases and competitive positioning.
• Provide market and competitor insights to product teams for roadmap and go‑to‑market refinement.
• Map airline stakeholders, qualify needs, procurement readiness and implementation considerations.
• Partner with account teams to shape opportunity strategy, demos, business cases and proposals.

Required profile

• Enterprise software/SaaS sales experience with airlines or aviation customers.
• Experience selling airline applications, especially operational, disruption management or recovery solutions.
• Deep understanding of airline buying centers, sponsor identification and account navigation.
• Background in software implementation or services with ability to explain delivery, onboarding and adoption.
