Buyer (B3) – Procurement Specialist

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Buyer (B3) to support its state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing facilities in Singapore. You will be responsible for purchasing materials, supplies, machinery, and services, ensuring continuous supply for high‑speed, high‑quality production.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure supply continuity to enable manufacturing with speed and quality.
• Execute and manage pull‑ins/push‑outs with suppliers to meet MRP demand.
• Lead cross‑functional teams to resolve supply issues with engineering, manufacturing, program managers, and supplier account management.
• Drive purchasing activities to achieve the lowest cost while maintaining quality, reliability, and urgency.
• Lead inventory and excess & waste (E&Z) reduction initiatives.
• Manage assigned purchasing projects, overseeing cost, schedule, and scope.
• Handle complex and sensitive information with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to process improvements and act as a trainer for department purchasing activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 2‑4 years of procurement or purchasing experience.
• Strong knowledge of industry best practices and market competition.
• Demonstrated leadership skills to lead small projects and build consensus.
