Calibration & Automation Technician

About the role

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Calibration & Automation Technician to join its biopharma services team in Singapore. The role supports manufacturing operations by ensuring critical instruments are installed, maintained, calibrated and performing to GMP standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support problem‑solving efforts related to instrument performance, identify root causes and develop action plans.
• Install, repair, adjust and calibrate instruments, electronics and test equipment used to control and measure variables.
• Follow instrument maintenance procedures, SOPs and maintain accurate documentation to ensure quality assurance.
• Achieve team KPIs and complete training to build required competencies.
• Support third‑party vendors for routine calibration, preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Perform scheduled routine maintenance in compliance with engineering standards and safety procedures.
• Complete all GMP documentation related to maintenance activities, ensuring data integrity.
• Carry out any other duties assigned by the E&I supervisor.

Required profile

• NITEC or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics or Instrumentation engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance and calibration processes and standards.
• Ability to work in a GMP environment and follow strict documentation practices.
