CAP Associate - Asia (2027)

About the role

CAP is a highly selective, immersive global rotation program at Capital Group for early-career talent interested in investing. As a CAP Associate, you will investigate complex investment questions through rigorous research, examining industries, assessing long-term trends and producing well-reasoned analyses. The program is open to final-year undergraduates and recent graduates, with cohorts in London, Los Angeles and Singapore.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end investment research projects, framing questions, conducting deep analysis and presenting supported conclusions to experienced investors.
• Develop analytical reasoning, investigative approach, judgment and communication through hands-on research and mentorship.
• Work closely with analysts and portfolio managers to understand how inquiry and independent thinking shape investment decisions.
• Contribute differentiated insights to the firm's investment dialogue on real-world topics such as data centers in space, Bitcoin and gold valuation frameworks, AI use cases in China and energy storage.

Required profile

• Final-year undergraduate or master's student (non-MBA) or someone with up to one year of related experience after graduation.
• Strong academic record; quantitative skills, double majors, minors or interdisciplinary study are valued.
• Ability to learn quickly, handle ambiguity and take feedback well.
• Collaborative leadership and a demonstrated interest in investing and a long-term career in it.
