Cardiac/Senior Cardiac Technologist (Maternity Cover)

About the role

Woodlands Hospital, part of Woodlands Health, is looking for a Cardiac/Senior Cardiac Technologist to cover maternity leave. The technologist coordinates and takes part in the duties involved in operating cardiovascular equipment and providing detailed analysis of cardiovascular function in the centre. This is a maternity coverage position.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine cardiovascular tests, including transthoracic echocardiography and portable units.
• Prepare reports of procedures performed and keep adequate records and files reflecting patient information.
• Maintain equipment to ensure accurate testing and diagnosis, and troubleshoot errors when variances occur.
• Maintain the emergency trolley (crash cart) in the centre.
• Keep the workstation and work environment clean and tidy, and look after inventory.
• Promote safety in the centre and comply with infection control standards and guidelines.

Required profile

• For new hires: at least a Science degree or Polytechnic Diploma in Cardiovascular Technology or equivalent.
• Minimum 1-2 years of relevant working experience.
• Professional license.
• Optional: Registered Cardiovascular Technologist with CAAHEP or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography or equivalent.
