Care Support Associate

About the role

Woodlands Hospital, part of NHG, is a next-generation integrated acute and community hospital in Singapore offering specialist outpatient services. As a Care Support Associate, you help keep the hospital running smoothly by supporting patient care, managing equipment and supplies, handling administrative tasks and keeping the environment safe and clean so that healthcare professionals can focus on clinical care.

Key responsibilities

• Support patient care activities under the supervision of healthcare professionals, including assisting patients with basic non-clinical needs and helping with transfers, transport and movement within the hospital
• Keep patient areas clean, safe and organised, and provide courteous assistance to patients, visitors and staff
• Help prepare, replenish and organise supplies and equipment, and support inventory management and stock replenishment
• Maintain accurate records and documentation, and keep equipment, carts and work areas ready for use
• Check and maintain equipment, report faults or damage promptly, and monitor inventory levels
• Follow departmental policies, infection prevention and safety standards, and protect patient and organisational confidentiality
• Work with nurses, allied health professionals and support staff, take part in team meetings and training, and carry out additional duties assigned by supervisors

Required profile

• Minimum secondary school education, GCE N/O Levels, ITE Certificate, NITEC, Higher NITEC or equivalent
• Experience in healthcare, service, operations, logistics, hospitality or customer service is advantageous; prior healthcare experience is preferred but not mandatory
• Physically fit to perform operational duties in a healthcare setting
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays when required
