Cashier

About the role

Join POPULAR BOOK COMPANY as a front‑line Cashier, providing friendly service to customers across our islandwide retail network. You will be the first point of contact, handling transactions and supporting membership enrolments while maintaining a welcoming store environment.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to customer enquiries and provide product information.
• Process sales transactions accurately, handling cash, card and mobile payments.
• Assist customers with membership card applications and promote store promotions.
• Perform general housekeeping duties, including keeping the checkout area clean and organized.
• Support inventory checks and other store tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum GCE ‘N’ Level qualification.
• At least 1 year of retail or cashier experience (preferred).
• Pleasant disposition with a strong customer‑service orientation.
• Willingness to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.
• Good communication skills and ability to handle cash responsibly.

Required skills

• Basic POS system operation.
