Cell and Gene Therapies Control Tower Coordinator (Marken)

About the role

UPS Marken offers a unique opportunity to support the delivery of life-saving cell and gene therapies through its global network. As Logistics Coordinator, you will operate from the Cell and Gene Therapies (CGT) Control Tower in Singapore, coordinating movements and monitoring shipments in real time with global branches. You will proactively identify and mitigate risks, prevent delays and provide end-to-end visibility for these critical shipments.

Key responsibilities

• Build working relationships with internal departments such as Project Management, Operations, Customer Relationship Managers and Customer Services, as well as overseas Marken offices and agents.
• Book shipments in Maestro according to client specifications and pre-defined lane mapping, and pre-alert branches and outside service providers to collection and delivery instructions.
• Review customer bookings in Maestro, update milestones and chase those not added as agreed.
• Review client operating procedures and manage the paperwork and checklists for cell and gene shipments, ensuring documentation is accurate, complete and attached to Maestro as required.
• Monitor GPS tracking on all CGT shipments and daily dashboards, and watch for weather, civil unrest or strikes that could delay shipments.
• Provide clear information on shipment handling, especially when delayed, and run post-flight and trace investigations to improve service.
• Support special requirements and inform the Customer Services Group and Project Management team.
• Produce daily reports on transport issues within the Marken network and monitor outside service providers, including calls, dispatch instructions, training and follow-ups.
• Ensure all proof of deliveries (PODs) are recorded in Maestro within the agreed timeframes, and analyse recurring operational issues to develop solutions and lessons learned.

Required profile

• Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain or a related field.
• Good communication skills to liaise with stakeholders across levels.
• Prior experience in the pharma, courier or freight industry preferred.
• At least 1-3 years in a customer-facing role.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision and within a team.
• Willingness to work flexible shift hours and support overtime, including weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Use of Maestro for booking and milestone tracking.
