Chef – Western Cuisine

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Chef to lead the preparation and cooking of high‑quality Western cuisine at our Singapore kitchen. The role ensures consistent food presentation, maintains strict hygiene standards, and supports smooth daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook Western dishes following established recipes and quality standards.
• Assist in daily food preparation and mise en place to keep the kitchen ready.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organization of the kitchen in line with safety regulations.
• Monitor food quality, freshness, and proper storage to ensure food safety.
• Minimise food wastage by using ingredients efficiently.
• Support stock control by tracking inventory and notifying supervisors of low supplies.
• Collaborate closely with the Head Chef, Sous Chef, and kitchen team.
• Comply with SFA food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety regulations.
• Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Chef, Cook, or Commis Chef in a Western restaurant.
• Knowledge of Western cooking techniques and food preparation methods.
• Familiarity with food safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced kitchen.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
