About the role
JLL is hiring a Chief Engineer (listed as Head of Engineering) in Singapore to oversee the delivery of hard services facilities management for a banking client under an Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) contract. The role ensures all critical engineering systems run safely, efficiently and in line with statutory and client requirements, and leads the technical and engineering workforce on site.

- Own the on-site CMMS (e.g. Maximo, Corrigo, Planon or similar), ensuring preventive maintenance schedules are set up and run, work orders are logged and closed, asset registers stay current and compliance and audit reports are accurate.
- Supervise a team of engineers, technicians and subcontractors, provide technical guidance, performance management, training and succession planning, and plan rosters and manpower for 24/7 critical operations.
- Ensure compliance with statutory inspections, licensing and regulations, manage permit-to-work systems, maintain business continuity and emergency response plans, and carry out risk assessments for engineering works.
- Act as the primary technical contact for the client, report performance against SLAs and KPIs, attend client reviews and manage vendor and subcontractor relationships.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering or a related field.
- 5 to 8 years of progressive experience in facilities management, building services engineering or critical environment operations; experience in banking, financial services, data centers or similar mission-critical environments is highly preferred.
- Strong leadership, team management and communication skills, and the ability to engage with client facilities and operations managers.
- Preferred: recognized engineering license or certification (e.g. Chargeman, Professional Engineer) and certifications in BMS, refrigeration, ACMV or energy management; OHS certifications are an advantage.
Required skills
- Hands-on troubleshooting of complex mechanical and electrical faults.
- Practical experience operating and administering CMMS platforms.
- Familiarity with statutory compliance requirements for building and engineering systems in the relevant jurisdiction.
