Chief Information Security Officer

About the role

The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) leads the organisation’s information security function, shaping strategy, standards and policies to protect corporate data across current and future market expansions. Reporting to senior leadership, the CISO advises the board on security matters and ensures compliance with regional regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Formulate and drive the overall information security strategy and cyber‑risk maturity model.
• Establish the organisational cyber‑security vision, aligning it with business objectives.
• Provide strategic, budgetary and administrative guidance for security initiatives.
• Lead security awareness and education programmes across the company.
• Advise senior management and key stakeholders on security risks and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee development of security policies, disaster‑recovery and business‑continuity plans.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regional mandates and legal frameworks such as the Singapore Cyber Security Act 2018 and Malaysia Cyber Security Act 2024.
• Design and maintain security architecture, define KPIs, and review architecture against emerging threats.
• Manage cyber‑security incidents and act as the subject‑matter expert for investigations.

• Deep expertise in cyber‑security compliance standards, protocols and frameworks, especially Singapore and Malaysia cyber‑security legislation.
