Civil & Structural Resident Engineer – Singapore

About the role

The Civil & Structural Resident Engineer will lead a team of technical supervising RTOs to ensure that all civil and structural, architectural and M&E works on site meet regulatory, client and safety requirements. This senior position reports to the C&S QP and works closely with authorities and contractors to drive project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise Resident Technical Officers (RTOs) across C&S, architectural and M&E disciplines.
• Ensure site activities comply with BCA criteria, MOM health & safety regulations and client specifications.
• Supervise structural and temporary works, identifying and rectifying non‑conformities.
• Interpret drawings and contract documents, providing technical guidance on‑site.
• Implement and maintain a site supervision quality and safety assurance system.
• Oversee documentation such as method statements, shop drawings, as‑built submissions and safety records.
• Attend progress, technical, client‑consultant, variation and coordination meetings.
• Resolve site and technical issues and prepare detailed progress reports.

Required profile

• Recognized degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, eligible for registration with the Singapore PE Board.
• IES/ACES accreditation with a valid Resident Engineer Practicing Certificate.
• Minimum 8 years of C&S experience in building structures, preferably with QA/QC exposure in precast fabrication.
• Experience in healthcare projects and familiarity with local codes and authority regulations.
• Strong supervisory and leadership abilities, capable of managing a multidisciplinary team.
