Cloud Engineer – VMware & Nutanix Specialist

About the role

The Cloud Engineer will join The ITSEC Group’s Singapore office to design, deploy and support the company’s virtualised and hyper‑converged infrastructure. You will ensure that VMware and Nutanix platforms remain highly available, performant and secure for critical business applications.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, configure and maintain VMware vSphere, ESXi and vCenter environments.
• Manage clusters, resource pools, HA, DRS, vMotion and VM lifecycle activities.
• Administer Nutanix AOS and AHV, using Prism Element and Prism Central for cluster operations.
• Perform patching, upgrades, capacity planning and health monitoring for both platforms.
• Implement backup, disaster‑recovery testing and security hardening, including RBAC and vulnerability remediation.
• Develop automation scripts with PowerCLI, Ansible, REST APIs to streamline provisioning and operations.
• Collaborate with network, storage and systems teams to resolve incidents and optimise resource utilisation.
• Maintain documentation, architecture diagrams, runbooks and produce performance reports.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• Proven experience managing enterprise‑grade VMware and Nutanix environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis skills in virtualised infrastructures.
